Asomiya Sahitya Sanmilani Patrika (ISSN 2347-257X) is a peer-reviewed, annual research journal published by the Asomiya Sahitya Sanmilani. Dedicated to the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, the journal provides a platform for scholarly academic discourse and publishes original, previously unpublished research papers in the Assamese language. To ensure high academic standards, all submitted papers undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process conducted by an expert committee.
Aims and Scope The journal welcomes scholarly contributions across a wide array of disciplines, including:
- Literature, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies
- History, Sociology, and Political Science
- Education, Mass Communication, and Folklore
- Any other branches of Humanities and Social Sciences
Submission Guidelines for Authors Researchers and authors wishing to submit their papers must adhere to the following formatting and submission rules:
- Language and Format: Papers must be written in Assamese using MS Word. The text must be typed exclusively in Banikanta or Kalpurush fonts (size 12). Submissions should be sent as editable soft copies (not in PDF format).
- Word Limit: Manuscripts should range between 3,000 and 4,000 words, including references and bibliography.
- Paper Structure: Submissions must include an abstract (up to 350 words), 3 to 5 keywords, main discussion, conclusion, and notes/references.
- Citation Style: References and the bibliography must strictly follow the MLA 9th Edition format.
- Author Details & Declaration: The first page must contain the title of the paper, the author’s full name, identity, address, email, and a brief author profile of 50–75 words. Authors are also required to provide a signed declaration stating that the research paper is original and has not been published elsewhere.
Publication Fee If a research paper is accepted for publication, the author is required to pay a publication fee of ₹1,100.
Editorial & Advisory Boards The journal operates under the guidance of a distinguished Advisory Board and Editorial Board, comprising esteemed professors and academicians from various universities. The editor of the journal changes annually, and an enthusiastic researcher with expertise in language, literature, and culture is entrusted with the responsibility of serving as the editor for each issue. The editorial committee reserves the right to edit accepted papers to improve language and style.
